Western Red Cedar is a light-reddish wood which has a characteristic pungent odor.

It has a striking appearance and prominent grain. Cedar is a light weight wood with subtle forms, not very defined, with little difference between growth rings. The streak is almost  imperceptible, quite wavy, with rough texture and a characterful shine.
